  23. So grateful to have shared part of my life with Brad and to have witnessed the love, inspiration and courage that radiated from your beautiful family throughout this journey. We will miss our old familiar ways with him, but he will be in our hearts always. We’re here for you. Sending so much love…

  24. Helen…I never had the chance to meet you but I just want you to know how much I respect your husband. I distinctly remember a drive he and I took together from Seattle to Port Angeles together. Two guys in a car for hours. He talked a lot about you, his family, youth football and work / life balance. What impressed me the most about him was that he deeply loved you and his kids. Time on the road away from you guys was a sacrifice. You can’t fake longing…and when he talked about you and his kids, there was depth. He was a genuinely good man in a business where genuinely good men are rare. When I was about to potentially begin a role as an external wholesaler, he wouldn’t consider hiring me until he met my wife. He took us both to dinner and wanted to make sure that my wife was ok with me on the road. He cared about my marriage and was willing to take the extra time and effort to ensure that not only could I do the job but that my wife would be ok while I was away. Only in hindsight do I see the wisdom and tenderness of what he was doing.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I am praying that our great God will be very near to you, that he will surround you with peace and give you the grace to grieve but to grieve as one who has hope.

  25. Helene! Am so very sad tonight for you and your family! The loss must be so deep and fresh for you right at this very moment. There are no words that can truly help ease your pain – the key will be the magic of time!
I have one cheesy quote that I do believe to be true- ” it is better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all…”
You are an incredibly brave and strong woman and you will stand tall during even the most tragic of times!!
We are sending all our love and prayers for Brad now up in heaven where the rainbows sparkle and the sun shines happiness and peace eternally !
    Much love
    Bonnie and Matt
