3/9/15 – From Helene

This morning, Brad got up and got himself cleaned up and changed on his own. He had a good breakfast and then got up and walked around the room and then PT came and he walked around again with her and did many exercises. He still is using the oxygen.

Dr Lowenthal was here. He’s been conversing with Dr Garafall regarding Brad’s care.  Brad hasn’t had a fever in three days and that was his biggest concern. He believes that Brad is well on his way to recovery and should be out of the hospital at some point this week. Nurses and any at home help can be arranged. And of course, we would follow up with the Myeloma and any pulmonary at Penn. At this time, we believe it’s not necessary to transfer him as he seems well on his way.

All for now. Good news that he’s showing improvement with each day. Dayenu.

  2. Helene, so glad to hear good news. Brad seems to be getting past this setback. He’s obviously a strong and determined young man and is fortunate to have a strong and determined young woman, you, by his side. I pray for all of you, that this is a minor blip on the bumpy road to recovery. Hang tough.
