2/7/15 – Day +2

Was all set for some uninterrupted sleep last night but as we have learned time and again …

I popped a 101.5 fever – which is good – it means things are happening. But whenever you have a fever they have to make sure it’s not an infection so we drew tons of blood cultures to make sure. So far so good. The results will be back in 48 hours. In the mean time I am on a general antibiotic until we are clear.

It is a little early for my blood counts to be dropping. It is only day +2 but I guess, as the doc said, I am an overachiever!

The other thing I have going for me is that my sodium is low so I am on a water restriction. That means I have been drinking Gatorade instead of water for the last 24 hours.

Anyway, most importantly, I feel great. The pain is subsiding or at least manageable. And my kids are coming for a visit today. What’s bad about that?

Another great day to fight cancer. #bradstrong
