In a hotel in Pennsylvania freezing my bones off (figuratively) getting ready for some road shows for work. Feeling good otherwise – especially after speaking with Dr. J’s office yesterday and going through the myeloma markers from the blood work Friday.
M Spike down to 1.02. Still looking for zero but started at 2.76 in December and this confirms the partial remission he spoke about a couple of weeks ago. We are now past 50% remission!
The IGg number (that’s the abnormal protein) is 1425 – that’s NORMAL range. IGg started in December at 3324. Now we have to work on the ratio between the IGg, the IGa and the IGm. IGa was below the normal range.
There is also a measure of different proteins called LIGHT CHAIN proteins. This is done by measuring the KAPPA chain and the LAMBDA chain. My Kappa chain which began in December at 475.96 is now down to 32.53. Normal range is 3.3 to 19.4. The Lambda chain is normal. The Kappa/Lambda ratio is now 4.791. That is down from 76.64 in December. Normal is .26 – 1.65.
WE ARE STILL ON THE WAY TO RECOVERY BUT EVERY DAY IS AN IMPROVEMENT …
… SO FAR.
Doctors are very pleased. They said this is very good. I believe them.
